| POWERFLUSH |  | To Power flush an existing heating system we require heat , this is done by the existing boiler but if this is not possible then we would use the new boiler if one is to be installed.The reason for this is to activate the chemicals that would be used for the power flush.Sometimes we add the chemicals 2-3 weeks before the power flush takes place this gives the chemicals time to activate and break down any stubborn sludge or dirt.If the situation occurs were we must flush with cold water the results cannot be guaranteed.
Once the power flush is connected to the system we heat the radiators so they are all at a temp of [50-55c] . We then close all radiators except one which we start to power flush and then work our way through the system doing one radiator at a time until we are satisfied that the system is as clean as we can get it.We then clean out the feed and expansion tank in the loft of any sludge and dirt as this can cause future problems by circulating sludge and dirt around the system again.Finally we add inhibitor to the system to help keep the system clean,this must be added ever 12 months for best results.
